About

Hi Lovelies,

Thank you for visiting my blog. I am an animal loving, nature loving, vintage and handcrafts loving girl- living in London.

My friends describe me as a fun-loving, positive, cheeky girl, who adores dancing and making them handmade gifts that include interior deco pieces, soft furnishings among other goodies.

I started Jijjy’s Maison Blog in 2011 to share all my vintage / antiquey finds, handcrafts and fun vintage upcycle projects.

Growing up I loved my grandmother’s glamour, pretty vintage cutlery, fashion and interior style. Through this my love for vintage was born.

Despite my banking & finance background I hankered to be creative and make things beautiful.

Apart from the nostalgia and beauty of vintage, I also believe it is a fun, stylish and creative way to recycle and protecting our environment.

I love Axel Vervoordt thinking – as a creator, collector, artist & interior designer; he says 21st century is for spiritual rest and recuperation. He likes to find things that are forgotten and give it new life. In addition, there is not more space for new things, he loves taking unwanted and existing things and makes them new and beautiful again.

Have a look at my Upcycling treats.

Jijjy’s Maison blog is about, me sharing my journey, exploring vintage and antiques, Upcycling and handmaking vintage inspired interior accessories. I also explore interior design trends.

Hoping that I succeed in inspiring you whatever your passions.

  1. I am thrilled to have found this blog – building a lodge is one thing – decorating it will be my challenge!

    1. you are blessed to be able to do a #selfbuild. Still it is a beautiful challenge. With all the talent available , 😀 the challenge willl be to choose an #interior designer or which #interiorpieces to use for your love home. Let me know if you need anything…!!!

  2. Lovely blog. Thank you soo much for my personalised cushion and blanket for my precious little one. They are really special pieces that I intend to keep for her for a very long time. Keep doing what you are doing. I love it xxx

  3. I like your style, it is very warm, the postmodern features associated with exquisite work reminds us of the values lost/ removed in the modern style homes
